The successful candidate as an Associate Software Engineer at Fidelity, you will be part of the Web applications Production Support team that manages Digital applications such as NB, PSW, H&I, and HCG. This team supports the Front-end Production support for Web applications such as for Net Benefits, Plan sponsor Web Station, Health & Insurance, and Health care applications.

A production support group has a presence in the US and India, providing follow the sun model support

The role requires engineers with 2 to 3 years of experience who have Production support knowledge with skills such as AWS, Azure, Docker containers & Tomcat Knowledge.

The Value You Deliver :

As Associate Software Engineer at Fidelity in the EI Prod Ops team you will be supporting the Front-end Digital applications hosted On-Perm and AWS cloud, applications supported have A+ criticality, the engineer has work in collaboration with Development, QA, and Peer support teams.

The role offers good exposure to AWS cloud technologies, building new applications in AWS cloud, and managing the applications hosted on AWS cloud and On-Perm hosted in Internal C2C cloud.

An engineer should provide on-call support for Production and Non-Production on rotation, the engineer should be quick in triaging incidents with emphasis on restoring service to normalcy quickly as well with the accurate root cause and should prevent Incidents reoccurring in the environment supported.

Technical / Behavioral Skills :

  • Production and Nonprod Oncall support
  • Building applications in AWS cloud and managing the applications hosted on AWS
  • Migration of the existing applications from Tomcat to Docker and to AWS Cloud
  • AWS Rehydration’s and regular maintenance of the instances running in AWS cloud.
  • Exposure to AWS Services such as EC2, ECS, EKS and Lambda
  • Exposure to Tomcat, Apache, Xtremescale
  • Deployment of regular application builds in Production and Test Environments
  • Implementation of changes in Production infrastructure
  • As an Associate Software Engineer at Fidelity, You should maintain availability of Environments and sending availability notifications to stakeholdersEnsure consistent and smooth services to our partners / customers
  • Working knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk/Datadog
  • Working knowledge of deployment tools Udeploy, usage knowledge on Jenkins /Artifactory
  • Good in Linux/Unix and windows operating systems
  • Automation skills – Shell scripting & Python
  • Knowledge on Basic Networking

The Skills that are Good to Have for this role

  • Domain knowledge of Financial services is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Unix Scripting, Python/Groovy and Automation practices
  • Working knowledge of a UI programming language like Node.js/Angular/React is a plus
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Knowledge of Python, Ansible

Qualification :

  • 3 + years of IT Experience.
