Associate Software Engineer Job Description :
Education:
Ideal candidate must possess at least a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. Relevant prior experience in software development can be demonstrated in absence of a computer science major.

We are looking for a software engineer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users, as well as translating our business needs or the UI/UX design wire frames to actual code that will produce the visual elements of the application.

Responsibilities

• Building interactive consumer data from multiple systems and RESTfully abstract to the UI through a Node.js backend

• Building reusable code and libraries for future use

• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability

• Implementation of security and data protection

• Translation of UI/UX wireframes to visual elements

• Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application

• Address and improve any technical issues

• Collaborate well with engineers, researchers, and data implementation specialists to design and create advanced, elegant and efficient systems

Job Requirements

• Expertise in writing JavaScript code.

• Experience with working on NodeJS.

• Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jade, EJS etc.

• Experience with working on BackBoneJS/Ember/Angular.

• Good knowledge of MongoDB and experience in working with Mongoose.

• Good knowledge in jQuery

• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.

• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3

• Experience with Git (optional)

• Experience with NPM/Bower (optional)

• Experience with using GruntJS (optional)

• Expertise in Unix Bash/Zsh (optional
