Job Description :

The Business System Engineer will be responsible to support and develop SAP solutions according to requirements that are informed and supported by: the business, cross-functional IT teams, project managers, business analysts, application operations support team. This position requires a skilled, knowledgeable, and experienced developer to troubleshoot and develop solutions for SAP applications.

Responsibilities :

• Provide third line technical support for SAP systems. This will entail working flexibly as part of a European support rota in line with the standard procedures.
• Specialised technically in supporting multiple SAP modules (SD, MM, LE, PP, QM, FI,)
• Undertake developments (ABAP, Web Dynpro, Adobe Form, JAVA, ….).
• Support SAP hotpacks and upgrade project.
• Document all system changes in line with the standard procedures.
• Keep up to date with SAP releases/technologies and other technology advances so that the company can make best use of them as required by the business.
• Input ideas and suggestions, identifying the business areas where changes to business processes or new technology could benefit the company.
• Works with appropriate leads and/or management to deliver solutions according to requirements defined and prioritized by VWR’s business.
• Collaborates, as appropriate, with project leads, business leads, ERP team, DBAs, operations and support team to meet milestones in a lean and agile manner.
• As part of a project team, performs design, build, implementation, unit tests, and code review.
• Translates functional requirements into conceptual and detailed designs; Provides estimates for development effort; Implements proof of concept, prototypes and production-grade software; writes unit tests; fully documents code; and coordinates with testing requirements from QA/Test. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience and/or certificates.
• Minimum 5 years of SAP development experience in a team environment.
• Had worked on multiple SAP modules
• Object Oriented design and implementation.
• Team player, experienced in an agile development environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with business analysts/system analysts.
• Able to comprehend business needs and concerns and integrate that understanding into design and implementation.

Skills :

• Knowledge of business/systems analysis gained through at least 3 year experience
• Excellent ABAP knowledge and technical skills are required.
• Experience on multiple SAP modules (SD, MM, LE, PP, QM, FI,)
• Understanding of SAP functional
• Experience in the configuration and development of SAP systems together with a detailed knowledge of the functions of the system used in their business area.
• As a Business System Engineer, You should have ability to undertake general communication and training at all levels.Fluent in English is a must
