Verizon is looking for a highly motivated candidate ready to play a key role as a Business Transformation Manager.

Responsibilities :

The Artificial Intelligence & Data (AI&D) Organization is an exciting new center of excellence supporting all of Verizon, reporting to the Global Network & Technology team. Our team will be a catalyst to Verizon’s future in creating networks that move the world forward through the power of Artificial Intelligence & Data. We have begun a comprehensive program to move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers.

Competitive Intelligence Platform will drive the business strategy by implementing the Market research based AI algorithms to capture the landscape of competitors in various segments like Industry Association, Crowd-Sourced Data Analytics (Tweets, News, etc.), Prospective Markets, Potential Opportunities, New Product launches, Consumer offers, etc. You will be defining the roadmap for the Competitive Intelligence Platform working with executive and business stakeholders. You’ll come up with a strategic plan to create this platform with novel design thinking methodologies. As a transformation manager, you’ll work closely with a team of data scientists, big data engineers, and software developers and play a key role in developing and delivering the next generation Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning solutions that generate substantial value for the business. You and your team will manage a pipeline of AI use cases from ideation to implementation.

• Driving data science use cases across the portfolios and teams.
• Identifying and defining new process improvement and or business opportunities.
• Managing internal/external stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Building a culture of innovation with cross-functional teams.
• Participating in internal and external forums.
• Mentoring and Molding team with guidance and support in modeling and delivery.
• As a Business Transformation Manager, You should work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• Gathering / Focusing on functional and non-functional requirements from business stakeholders.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Six or more years of IT development & delivery experience.
• Market Research or Similar field experience.
• Experience with Companies’ third part and financial reports understanding.
• Experience with different modeling techniques, application, and implementation using – Statistics (Hypothesis testing, Discriminant analysis, Linear/Logistic regression, PCA, Vector-analysis), Forecasting (Time Series), Machine Learning & AI (Classification, Clustering, Collaborating filtering/MBA, Neural Network), Multi-Media Analytics: Text mining, video & voice analytics, and Advanced Analytics: Deep Learning, Cognitive Analytics.
• Knowledge of Hadoop cluster utilizing map/reduce, Pig, Hbase, Hive, Spark/Storm, and Scoop.
• Experience working public data provided by governing websites.
• Experience in Relational Database such as Oracle; Writing complex queries to extract the data.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Master’s degree.
• Statistics as major in Bachelor’s or Master’s
• Data Science Certifications.
• Python, Spark, SQL, and Linux.
• Hadoop experience.
• Real-world Data Science experience.
• Data engineering knowledge.
• Exposure to tools like MLFlow, Domino Datalab, Data Robot,H20.AI.
