About Team:

Computer Vision Team at Jio AI develops next generation products and platforms doing computer vision research and engineering at scale. We drive cutting-edge and performance-critical systems that incorporates the latest innovations in deep learning as well as traditional computer vision to solve complex challenges specific to Indian ecosystem. Our work empowers millions of Jio users as well as the broader Reliance ecosystem in sectors like Healthcare, Retail, Fashion, Surveillance, Agriculture and Media.

Our efforts are currently focussed but not limited to –

• Developing algorithms for creating 2D/3D structures from videos using projective reconstruction and multi-view geometry.
• Feature extraction from low resolution satellite imagery and medical reports like CT-Scans, MRIs, X-Ray in data-scarce environments like India
• Document understanding with an emphasis on document layout, context and content extraction and summarisation
• Real-time multi-camera multi-model video stream analysis for security using key points, pose and object tracking
• Rich attribute extraction from fashion, retail and media images for digital cataloguing and recommendation systems

About You

You are a versatile and self-driven computer scientist excited about developing real-time computer vision systems and taking them to next level. You have a thorough background in applied mathematics, numerical optimization, or machine learning as applied in computer vision, computer graphics, or robotics.

You are a strong engineer, capable of not only implementing research ideas but also delivering them to production. You embrace ambiguity and adhere to the Jio values and ways of working centred around customer obsession, delivering value and ownership-mindset.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, implement and evaluate novel computer vision algorithms that make their way to products, top publications and patents
• Create scalable, robust and efficient computer vision systems in diverse application areas harnessing large datasets
• Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to drive systems from prototyping to production level

Skill Set Requirement (Computer Vision Scientist):

Essential:

• Fluency in any 2 languages (Python/C/C++/Go) with a fair understanding of space/time complexities 
• Fundamental understanding of Computer Vision algorithms (including libraries like OpenCV, Scikit, DLib)
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (Tensorflow/PyTorch/Caffe)
• Familiarity with ML product development life cycle from data gathering to product deployment.

Experience in:

• Image Classification, Object Detection/Tracking and/or Semantic Segmentation, Object Recognition
• Deep learning algorithms for Generative/Discriminative Modelling and/or Multi-Task learning.
• Scalable product development and deployment. 
• Hands-on with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure GCP.

Bonus:

• PhD/MS with relevant experience in Computer Science with published projects in the fields of machine learning, deep learning and/or computer vision
• Previous exposure in Deep Learning based OCR, 3D Computer Vision, Semi-Supervised Image Segmentation
• Familiarity with GPU computing (CUDA, OpenCL) and HPC.
• Publication in top conferences (i.e., CVPR, ICCV, NeurlIPS, ECCV, AAAI etc.
