Job Description :

Wealth management companies and private banks are embarking on a major transformation to introduce greater agility in both business and IT organizations. The Scrum Master will work with the Core Platform Tribe Delivery Lead to plan and deliver projects based on the Agile Software Delivery Framework. The candidate will operate in the Lead Scrum Master role and facilitate the delivery of capabilities using the Scrum framework.

Responsibilities :

• Implementation of specified capabilities using the agile framework
• Drive adoption and rollout of Agile and modern software design and engineering practices in line with the bank’s architecture and technology standards
• Lead scrum squads in design methods and principles
• A Scrum Master will ensure that the risks, issues, costs and schedules are appropriately managed following agile principles. Also, that progress is tracked and communicated to internal and external stakeholders using visual management techniques
• A Scrum Master will work with technology teams to co-ordinate development and create a delivery pipeline across multiple streams
• Make sure that the Scrum framework is followed and understood with desired outcome by the team
• Help the Scrum Teams understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items
• Ensure the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value
• Coach developers in self-organization and cross-functionality
• Facilitate the Sprint events. Make sure that they are followed and effective

Requirements :

• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant industry experience especially in WealthSuite core banking implementation (hands-on experience is a must)
• Certified Scum Master is a must. Must have good knowledge of Wealth suite Systems like TAP, T24 and Insight
• Strong knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices
• Knowledge of other Agile approaches such as Kanban, Crystal, FDD, XP, etc.
• Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand the team’s needs
• Have knowledge about Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
• Commitment to deliver the product on time
• Knowledge about the value of metrics and incremental delivery
• Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.
• Familiar with common development practices, service-oriented environments, and Agile practices
• Possesses conflict resolution skills, converses by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect
• Should be a friendly communicative person, because when team is moving fast in Agile, communication is the effective force which holds the team together
• Should be an expert in estimation and planning. Knowledge of creating useful, reliable and practical plans for software development projects
• Should be a good coach in Agile practices. Should be able to coach individuals and interactions over processes and tools.
• Help team or individual to clarify goals and actions to achieve them
• Ability to ensure correct use of scrum process
• Ability to track and remove impediments
• Good understanding of Jira will be an added advantage
