Responsibility :

• Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide drive value from products we build at Walmart Scale
• Work very closely with various business and technology stakeholders to drive the execution of multiple technology initiatives
• Explore new technologies and run POCs that can add to the future technology roadmap for the team
• Help hire, develop, upskill and mentor a strong team of engineers.
• Take part in design, architecture, and code reviews across different workstreams
• Work in a high-performing agile team environment – sharing innovative ideas and working collaboratively across teams.
• As a Staff Software Engineer , You should work with talented engineers and product visionaries to contribute to the vision and design of our web and mobile products.
• Be a product-oriented Full Stack Engineer creating and experimenting with new ideas that will engage and excite our customers
• Own and lead the delivery of products working along with a team of junior developers
• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on applications to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. Utilize industry research to improve Sam’s technology environment.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree with 12+ years of experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Skills Required – Java, J2EE, Spring, React.
• Proven experience in driving architecture, design, and development of distributed systems focusing on high scalability, availability, and extensibility
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in delivering SOA, cloud, and REST Services using Java/JEE, Spring, CXF, etc…
• Experience in data crunching and deriving business insights using big data/machine learning techniques
• Excellent knowledge of architecting distributed scalable systems using big data, NoSQL, and Cloud technologies
• Worked across the product development SDLC
• Strong in Java programming and JVM internals (concurrency, multi-threading). 
• Solid design and coding skills in Java and/or Spring framework.
• Extensive hands-on experience building services using these technologies (Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, JAX).
• Experience with storage technologies such as MongoDB, Elastic Search, Hive, Cassandra, Hadoop, and Kafka are good to have.
• Good to have experience in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, AJAX, GraphQL, React Native, React, Redux, Webpack, and Node.
• Experience in building scalable/highly available distributed systems in production.
• Working knowledge of stream processing with knowledge on Kafka.
• Knowledge of Software Engineering best practices with experience in implementing CI/CD, Log aggregation/Monitoring/alerting for production systems.
• Strong expertise in production support related activities (issue identification, resolution)
