Job Description :

Walmart Global Tech is looking for a highly motivated teammate ready to play a key role as a Support Engineer DPA.

Responsibilities :

  • Support Engineer DPA maintains good professional relationships with counterparts of engineering, Platform support, and end-users, etc.
  • Follow standards and best practices to bring operational efficiencies, stability, and availability of the system.
  • Issue management and problem management – ensuring a comprehensive database of queries and resolutions are kept up to date
  • Build reports and dashboards for operational metrics
  • Design, write and maintain software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of applications, incorporating third-party open-source tools when available.
  • Managing the coordination of cross-location teams.
  • Engage in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, anticipating performance bottlenecks.
  • Constantly look out for opportunities to improve the process, reduce costs, and brings about continuous improvement.

Qualifications : 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and relevant work experience.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, etc.
  • Basic understanding of Apache spark.
  • Expertise in Python, PySpark.
  • Experience in supporting scalable Data Lake solutions in a large-scale distributed environment. Preferably in the finance Domain.
  • Experience with cloud technologies ( Azure / GCP)
  • Knowledge of Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse/any data warehousing/data modeling applications, etc.
  • Experience in building and debugging Data pipelines.
  • Basic knowledge in writing and debugging API in Python and Python framework like Flask and Django.

Skills :

Python, PySpark , Data warehouse.
