Job Description :

Microchip Technology Inc. is looking for a System Test Engineer with work experience on Embedded System products/domain.

Roles :

• System Test Engineer should have 6 – 12 years of relevant work experience.
• Execute tests to documented plan on a range of 32-bit touch microcontrollers using Development Kits & PC based Software.
• Accurately record test findings, in line with agreed procedures.
• Assist in fault investigation, issue fixing, and subsequent testing/re-testing.
• Update and develop test cases.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of relevant products.
• Grow into the provision of customer application support for Microchip’s capacitive Touch products.
• Provide timely status reports on testing and findings to Team Leader.
• Assist with the development of automatic testing of software systems.

Requirements :

• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in ECE or Computer science.
• Experience of Microcontroller based product testing techniques and approaches.
• Customer interaction experience.
• Experience with Capacitive touch is a Plus.
• Working in a multi-site distributed team.
• Experience in hardware design using 8 bit and/or 32-bit microcontrollers.
• Team leading skills (local or distributed teams).
• Experience in design/testing of I2C, SPI, and USB busses.
• Should have experience in handling test and diagnostic equipment e.g. Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Logic Analyzers.
• Experience in test case design and testing of embedded software and systems.
• Some regional and international travel may be required.
• Experience of circuit fault finding.
• Should have experience in schematic and PCB reading.
• Experience in using embedded programmers.
• Experience in scripting or coding languages Python, XML, C is a Plus.
