Flex is looking for a highly motivated teammate ready to play a key role of Systems Administrator for Information Technology.

About Role :

• The Systems Administrator – IT will be based in Chennai.
• This is an advanced level role responsible for assisting with UNIX administration activities, including Operation System maintenance, technical guidance, and security.
• The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process data, resolve issues, and execute administrative tasks.

What you will do :

• Hands-on administration and operation of scalable IT infrastructures on both vmware and physical environments.
• Install and set up Linux systems and servers, often for organization-wide deployment.
• Perform routine system maintenance and resolve server-side issues as they arise.
• Perform OS and application upgrades and server migrations to new environment.
• Maintain security and OS patch management for linux based systems.
• Experience with Ansible or similar tools is desired.
• Working both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment.
• Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent Linux based Operating Systems(RHEL 6/7/8) on physical and virtual operating environments, providing technical oversight and consultation services.
• Provide technical support for disaster recovery efforts (actual or simulated).
• Perform all security/compliance functions for Linux server environments.
• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service.
• Good Knowledge in Solaris LDOM 10 and 11.
• Knowledge in and Veritas infoscale, VVR.
• Working knowledge of Redhat Satellite, puppet, Docker.
• Knowledge in Open Shift.

Qualification Needed :

• High Experience as UNIX System Administrator in Redhat 6.0 and 7.0 version.
• Experience in Solaris 10/11.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience.
• Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective analytic/diagnostic skills.

Preferred experiences :

• 5 to 7 years experience in Linux Server Administration.
• Experience in Solaris administration would be added advantage.
