Anna University final exams to be conducted online:

It has been confirmed that the final exams for students has to be conducted online in the month of August.

Why exams online?

• During this COVID – 19 pandemic, it is difficult to conduct exams for students offline (Pen and paper mode)
• Many colleges and hostel buildings have been converted into COVID care centers and quarantine centers.
• Many final year students have already got their job offers and are waiting for their exams to start their career.

Second chance for candidates:

Those students who do not have proper internet connectivity or digital devices can appear for the offline exams that will be conducted later.

Duration: One hour proctoring test will be conducted for each subject.

Pattern: Multiple choice questions and the candidates will be monitored by the artificial intelligence tools

Syllabus: 5 units in each subject

Grade calculation: 30% – online test and 70% – internal assessment and project work

How to prevent malpractice?

Monitoring method of the candidate: AI tools will be used to monitor the computer screen, audio and physical movements of the students.

All the final year exams need to be completed by September 30.

Thus, online exams are conducted considering the future of students. Degrees will be earned by the candidates and can go ahead with their career and higher studies.
