Around 7.99 lakh students have appeared for Tamilnadu Board class 12th exams 2020. Tamilnadu government had cancelled Class 10th Board exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence all the class 10th board students are declared to pass in all the subjects by evaluating with their quarterly and half yearly performances.
In the year 2019 pass percentage was 91.03 , now, in the year 2020, pass percentage is 92.34 among 7,79,931 students appeared for the exams. Among all the districts Thiruppur stood first with the highest pass percentage as 97.12% followed by Erode with 96.99% and Coimbatore with 96.39% at second and third places respectively.

- Physics – 95.94%
- Chemistry – 95.82%
- Biology – 96.14%
- Mathematics – 96.31%
- Botany – 93.95%
- Zoology – 92.97%
- Computer Science – 99.51%
- Commerce – 95.65%
- Accountancy – 94.80%
Girls have scored 5.39 percent more than boys. Marksheets for class 12th board exams will be provided for the students by their respective school management once the lockdown has been ended.
